About Us

A Quiet Place to Learn About Money

Mali Capital was built around a simple belief: that people deserve patient, honest financial education at any stage of life.

Our Story

Why Mali Capital Exists

Mali Capital came out of a straightforward observation. Many financial learning programmes in Thailand are aimed at young professionals — quick, ambitious, high-energy. But the people who often feel most uncertain about their finances are those in their forties and fifties, navigating mortgage payments, children's education costs, and thoughts of retirement all at once.

We opened our Bangkok office with a different intention: to create a learning environment where questions are welcomed, sessions are never rushed, and every concept is explained in plain, practical language. The name Mali — jasmine — was chosen deliberately. In Thai culture, mali is a symbol of care and quiet dignity. That is the spirit we carry into every session.

Our programmes do not sell financial products. We are educators, not advisors. We help people understand how budgeting, saving, and planning actually work, so they can have better conversations with the professionals in their lives and feel less adrift when making financial choices.

Our Mission

To offer adults in midlife a structured, supportive path to financial understanding — at the pace that suits them, in a setting that respects their experience.

Our Vision

A Thailand where everyone past forty has access to clear, honest financial education — and feels confident enough to plan thoughtfully for the years ahead.

Our Values

Patience. Honesty. Warmth. We believe financial education is an act of quiet self-respect, and we treat it that way in everything we do.

The People

Who You Will Learn With

Our educators bring backgrounds in finance, adult education, and community work. They are here to teach, not to sell.

NP

Nattaya Pongpan

Lead Educator & Co-founder

Nattaya spent fifteen years in Bangkok's banking sector before turning to adult financial education. She leads The Full Garland Programme and takes great care to ensure every participant leaves with something they can use.

SK

Supachai Kanchanarat

Programme Designer & Co-founder

Supachai has a background in adult learning and spent several years designing financial literacy programmes for community organisations. He shapes the pace, structure, and materials for all three of our programmes.

ML

Malee Lertchai

Participant Coordinator

Malee manages enquiries, scheduling, and the small practical details that help sessions run smoothly. She is usually the first voice you will hear when you contact us, and she genuinely enjoys helping people find the right starting point.

Our Standards

How We Keep Our Standards High

We hold ourselves to clear commitments so that every person who joins a programme knows what to expect from us.

Educator Qualifications

All educators hold formal qualifications in finance or adult education, and participate in ongoing professional development each year to keep their knowledge current and relevant to Thai financial life.

Privacy & Data Protection

Participant information is kept private and handled in line with Thailand's PDPA regulations. We do not share personal details with third parties, and we are transparent about what we collect and why.

Education-Only Commitment

Mali Capital is a financial education provider, not a financial services firm. No product is recommended or sold during any session. This boundary is firm, and participants can trust it completely.

Participant Feedback

After every programme, participants are invited to share feedback through a short written form. We read every response and use it to improve our materials, pacing, and delivery on an ongoing basis.

Current, Accurate Materials

Programme materials are reviewed and updated at least twice a year to reflect any changes in Thai financial regulation, tax rules, or banking practices. What you learn here will be current.

Wellbeing in Every Session

Each session includes a short pause — a gentle reminder that money can be a stressful topic, and that it is fine to take things at your own speed. No one is rushed or left behind.

Financial Education in Bangkok for Midlife Adults

Mali Capital operates from central Bangkok, serving participants from across the city and surrounding areas. Our programmes address the practical financial questions that come up most often for people in their forties and beyond: how to build consistent savings habits, how Thai savings and fund accounts actually work, how to think about healthcare costs in later years, and how to begin planning calmly for the time when regular work slows down.

We draw on the Thai concept of "sanuk" — the idea that even serious topics can be approached with warmth and a degree of lightness. Finance does not have to feel frightening, and our classrooms are structured to reflect that. Participants often tell us they arrived anxious and left feeling more capable and more settled.

Bangkok's financial landscape is distinct. The Thai baht, the BOT's savings products, provident fund arrangements, and the Social Security fund each play a role in the financial lives of working people here. Our curriculum addresses these specifically, so content always connects to the choices and products participants actually encounter in everyday life.

We are a small team by intention. Smaller groups mean better conversations, more individual attention, and a learning pace that genuinely adapts to the people in the room. That is how financial education works best for adults who are balancing full lives alongside their studies.

Start With a Conversation

If you would like to know more about our programmes or which one might suit you, we are glad to talk. No commitment required at this stage.
